A program model that allows the EL teacher or paraprofessional to pull the students from their general education class for instruction in small groups or one-on-one.
Push-in
For push-in services, the EL teacher goes to the students' regular classroom and helps the students with whatever work or activity is going on at that time.
Enrichment Bilingual
Students out of each grade level are chosen to participate in the Enrichment Bilingual program. Students in the chosen classes receive Spanish instruction 1 day a week. The intended purpose for the Enrichment Bilingual Class is for the Spanish speaking students to learn academic skills sooner than Spanish speaking students in other classes. Additionally, native English speaking students will be taught Spanish skills to provide foundational competences for advancement in secondary Spanish classes. These classes are designed for elementary school.
